Public unveiling and celebration of the award-winning map of Chicago’s working-class history. “The Labor Trail” is the product of a joint effort to showcase the many generations of working-class life and struggle in the Chicago area’s rich and turbulent past. The Trail’s neighborhood tours invite participants to get acquainted with the events, places, and people — often unsung — who have made the city what it is today. Meet the creators of the work as well as long-time activists who put Chicago labor on the map. With music by Bucky Halker from his new CD, “Welcome to Labor Land,” and refreshments to follow.
Parking for this event is located at 1122 S Wabash Ave for $6. For additional information about the Center and future activities, please call the Chicago Labor Education Program office at (312) 996-2491 or (312) 996-2623, or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
