Using excerpts from parts 1 and 2 of “Kaskaskia and the Pursuit of a More Perfect Union,” join us for a robust discussion as we continue to unpack the question: “What might the complex history and ongoing evolution of Kaskaskia enable us to learn about the pursuit of a more perfect Union?”

This event will be hosted by Illinois Humanities and Chester Public Library. Matt Meacham, Illinois Humanities’ program manager for statewide engagement, and Linda Mitchell, executive director of the Metro East Literacy Project will be facilitating the discussion.

Kaskaskia and the Pursuit of a More Perfect Union is made possible in part by a grant from National Endowment for the Humanities A More Perfect Union initiative.
