The Education Division is committed to increasing access to humanities-based education and educational programming for all Illinoisans and to providing high quality facilitation training for individuals and communities committed to engaging in constructive conversations.
Through specific educational programs geared towards K-12 youth and teachers to programs for adults and communities who have had limited access to humanities-based education and programming to providing high quality facilitation training, the Education Division furthers the mission of Illinois Humanities through community-engaged learning and discussions. In the interest of the health and safety of our staff, partners, program participants and the general public during this extraordinary time, we are suspending all Illinois Humanities programming through Monday, May 11. Staff will be working remotely, and all work-related travel is being canceled. In no way are grantees or program providers going to be financially penalized or asked to return grant funding for taking necessary precautions during this time.
